And oh yeah, we got our woodstove up and at 'em and I can make one heck of a fire.
And last but not least, Ollie and I have been renting our house for the past 3 years, but this Wednesday, we signed papers and became home owners.
It feels really good to knit by the woodstove in your own house.

I don't own a sewing machine, but thanks to Alewives, am addicted to fabric. When I can't borrow a machine from a friend {grad school is expensive, so I can't buy one yet}, I knit. Badly. I knitting a sock. I'm not convinced it knows it's a socks, actually.

Congrats on your home purchase, Rhea. That's so great! And to be in one of the prettiest villages in Maine... and to be able to walk to work (and be surrounded by beautiful fabric while you're there)...how lucky are you?!
Kate, hexagons are all the rage right now... everyone's mad for them here at the shop! You use paper templates and stitch them completely by hand. They're super cute. If you scroll through the spring months of my blog you'll see my recap of the hexagon class we did here at the shop. Sooo fun... if you've got $3.95, a needle, some thread and scraps of fabrics, you'll never be bored again!
